Most of us have to work for a living and are tired at the end of the day. Are we required to literally work for our religion AND for our salvation?

I guess so. Of course bethel cultists like gb don't bust their humps like we do. That is precisely why I don't understand why WT doesn't encourage higher education. Wealthier cultists equals more money. Oh yeah, education equals waking up. Never mind!

Ephesians 2:8-9
"By this undeserved kindness you have been saved through faith, and this is not of your own doing; rather, it is God’s gift.
No, it is not a result of works, so that no one should have grounds for boasting"

Galatians 2:16-17
"Recognize that a man is declared righteous, not by works of law, but only through faith in Jesus Christ.
So we have put our faith in Christ Jesus, so that we may be declared righteous by faith in Christ and not by works of law, for no one, will be declared righteous by works of law"

Romans 11:6
"Now if it is by undeserved kindness, it is no longer through works; otherwise, the undeserved kindness would no longer be undeserved kindness"

If you try and earn what is clearly a gift from God, are you not showing ingratitude for the gift and also insulting the giver?
